At the entrance to La Grande Escoure, one notices a tall, strange tree that towers above all the others. From a closer look, it could be either a) a new pine breed, perhaps particularly resistant to climate change, or b) an attempt to adapt a radio mast to its surroundings. If no name has been found for it yet, I hereby name it "Pinus telecomunis major" and claim all rights to the name 😎

Great section through the forest, only partially suitable for road bikes (cracks in the concrete surface), but fantastic with a gravel bike.

There's plenty to fill your water bottle and possibly repair your bike, plus picnic tables. Be careful, though, there are no racks to park your bike on!
