Viaducts - run under the old and the new. The first was built in 1888; the other two, in the 1970s.

The Romanesque style church was built in the 12th century. It conceals some treasures such as the statues of St-Christophe and St-Pierre, a wooden altarpiece and a baptismal font. You will also be able to observe its 13th century bell tower which since 1867 has been surmounted by an imperial eagle.

Former keep of the 12th century motte castle. The maintenance of the site is ensured by the association of the Friends of the Tower of Château-Chervix. The visit of the exterior of the tower is free all year round. Guided tour possible for groups by reservation, contact the Briance Sud Haute-Vienne Tourist Office.

Superb little village, very quiet and relaxing

Shortly after the massacre of Oradour-sur-Glane by the SS Nazis, a column of German tanks was stationed in the main street of the town of Coussac-Bonneval. One Sunday morning, the officer commanding the column was surprised at the few men present in the streets and thought that they were all in the maquis. He was told that they were at mass and he entered the church with his men to check. Annoyed by the sound of explosions outside the church, the Germans became threatening. Abbé LARRIQUE, parish priest, made a vow at that time to build a chapel to the Virgin Mary if the town was spared. The Germans left shortly after this incident and the construction of the chapel was carried out in 1946 on land located in Biaugeas.

Along a shady road, you can discover the beautiful Moulin de Marsaguet pond. Le Moulin de Marsaguet is a fattened duck farm with direct farm sales of foie gras, preserves, pâtés and rillettes.
