Ridge course, formerly a Gallo-Roman path called "pouge", and therefore bordered on each side by mossy stone walls. Very beautiful place with the Puy de la Croix to the south and a beautiful valley to the north!

According to tradition, the church was built by Guillaume Aubert, lord of Montel-de-Gélat, at the request of his brother, who died in 1362. This 14th-century building consists of a nave without aisles, a three-sided choir and two side chapels from the 15th century forming a false transept. The most constructed element is the main portal with a series of arcades falling on small columns with capitals composed of several heads and floral motifs. The bell tower was added in modern times.

These risers are widely used by the local fishermen. Please note that you need a permit to fish here.

The Auvergne is best known for its fantastic nature, we are here in the Combrailles, an area west of Clermont-Ferrand and located between impressive landscapes. Hilly and dotted with lakes of all sizes and with a lot of agriculture.

Via this pedestrian bridge you cross a side arm of the Etang de Chancelade, from the bridge you also have a nice overview of the lake.
