Down here in the valley are the "ruins" of the old cutlery factories; over the years they had to make way for more modern production facilities...

Center of Chabreloche, here you will find a mini market and a butcher to stock you. Starting point for three passes: Col de la Charme, Col Saint Thomas and Col des Sagnes. The road towards Thiers is very pleasant on a false flat slope, but the one towards Noiretable is precisely on a false flat slope. A great little pass with a nice view to enjoy from Vollore. Follow it up with the Col des Sagnes because the descent between the two is fantastic!
