There was a lot of excursion traffic on Sunday. We took the route from Philippsburg via Erbsenthal. That was quieter!

Beautiful monastery in tranquil Hornbach.

The Moulin d'Eschviller, or the Eschviller Mill, is a historic watermill in the village of Eschviller, part of the commune of Volmunster in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region of France. This mill is a major tourist attraction and an important cultural monument, reflecting the agricultural and industrial history of the region. Dating back to the 18th century, the Moulin d'Eschviller has undergone various modifications and restorations over the centuries. The monastery was founded in 742 by Saint Pirminius. It was one of the oldest monasteries in southwest Germany and played an important role in the Christianization of the region. In the 16th century, at the time of the Reformation, the monastery began to decline. The religious upheavals and wars led to a gradual dissolution of monastic life.
