A small village in the northern Lot region, Cornac is known for its colorful murals scattered throughout its narrow streets. Every summer, artists come to paint here, transforming the village into an open-air gallery.

Some of the windows in the nave contain stained glass from the 16th century. Today only fragments remain (restoration in the 1990s). One window shows a crucifixion scene, another Jean II de Castelnau (the father of the church's founder Jacques de Castelnau) in his robes with his protector, John the Baptist, and his wife Anne de Culant with Saint Anne.

Must see: The art collection in the castle also includes seven large-format tapestries from the 17th century with scenes from country life.

Perched at the top of the hill, it is here that one expects to see a large castle like this, with this plan which dominates the whole valley.

A beautiful 15th century Catholic church built by order of Pope Julius II. Inside you will find a remarkable stained glass window.

This beautiful little castle has a secret. In March 1943, the Mona Lisa was kept there until it was transferred to the Louvre in June 1945.
