Aiguebelle marks the entrance to the Maurienne valley. It is a small living town with a rich past, from where a good number of hikes start.

Refuge hut - Great place for a coffee stop in the middle of nowhere. Will do lunch but you need to phone ahead.

Aiguebelle is a small through town, the houses of which were built around the main axis and which is located directly at the foot of the Col du Grand Cucheron. You will find a train station and supermarkets such as Intermarché and Carrefour here if you are still missing something for your tour.

Just an interesting old fort. Privately owned so you can't go exploring round it, but interesting all the same. Very similar to the one at the Col de Tamié (Albertville).
