Downstream from L'Écot, discover the charming Pied de l'Écho waterfall. Follow the rocky path along the Chemin des Agneaux, which winds through a picturesque alpine landscape. The gentle roar of the waterfall will guide you to a stunning spot where water cascades over smooth rocks into a transparent pool.

Continuing you arrive at the Refuge d'Averol

This stretch of dirt path allows you to avoid the main road in Val-d'Arc, which can be very busy especially in the busier summer months. The dirt road is a gravel road in excellent condition that can be traveled with any bicycle. The scenery is spectacular, with the mountains of the Vanoise National Park and the rock paintings of Rocher du Château.

At 1,756 meters above sea level, Villaron is a bucolic little hamlet in Haute-Maurienne. With no commerce, the hamlet nevertheless has several lodgings that can be reserved.

L'Ecot is a small high-altitude hamlet 1 hour's walk from Bonneval-sur-Arc. Very sparsely populated due to its isolated character, especially in winter, there is nevertheless a restaurant, "Chez Mumu" which offers local cuisine.
