A beautiful town enhanced by its Saint-Radegonde church.

Small village perched above a valley surrounded by oak forests. It is also the place of adoption of the Russian sculptor Ossip Zadkine, who owned a house there and whose many sculptures can be found in the streets and in the small museum dedicated to him.

Lovely little village at the top of a short climb

Sauveterre-la-Lémance is an interesting village in more ways than one. The prehistoric deposit of the Martinet located in the town gave its name to a prehistoric period called the Sauveterrien. This is called an eponymous site. The term Sauveterrien refers to flint knapping industries dating from the Mesolithic period, that is to say around -9,000 BC. This is a very interesting period for those who study prehistory, because it is a transitional period between the Paleolithic and the Neolithic, often little studied. At the time, very small arrowheads (microlith) were made. What is tiny is often unimpressive, and does not attract crowds. The fact remains that a nice museum will teach you more about this period, and about the village. Sauveterre also has, in addition to its museum and its site, a very beautiful fortified castle, beautiful squares and streets, as well as a few shops.

Montcabrier is a magnificent bastide in Quercy. The word bastide refers to the word bastion. It is a village on a promontory which wished to protect itself by taking the height, and by surrounding itself with defensive walls. This beautiful village has a superb church in its northern part. There are only 300 inhabitants in the village.
