A lovely place full of history! We walked along a white path and observed these buildings in a beautiful landscape!

Castelnau-Montratier boasts a large arcaded square typical of fortified towns. Its Saint-Martin church features a Romanesque-Byzantine dome and offers a beautiful panoramic view of the valley. Strolling through its white stone streets, you'll discover a rich heritage of medieval houses, old mills, and Gallo-Roman remains.

The panels with philosophical sayings written on them are distributed along the GR 65 (Way of St. James) in the Lot department and are an initiative of the ‘L’association 1000 Mains à la Pâte’ of the Lot department tourist association.

These wells are aligned on a geological fold characterized by a layer of impermeable clay located under the outcropping limestone. Each well is built above a "cistern" dug into the rock. The wells are therefore independent of each other. The "cisterns" are filled in two ways: by vertical infiltration of rainwater and by lateral flow of water. Here we can see the determination and ingenuity of the Caussenards to capture water that is particularly rare in the region.

Very pretty picturesque village

Montpezat-de-Quercy, a medieval city in the heart of the Quercy vineyard. There is a local market there on Saturday mornings.

An old mill typical of Quercy, dating from the 17th century, which was moved stone by stone to be rebuilt identically on the Boisse hill, which was less exposed to lightning! Listed in the Inventory of Historic Monuments.
