A 20 km long section of the Way of St. James, Via Podiensis, runs through the municipality from Montredon to Figeac. Don't miss the Romanesque church of Saint-Jean, a monument historique since 1972.

Figeac is home to the Champollion museum. Jean Francois Champollion was the decipherer of Egyptian hieroglyphs and was born in Figeac on 23 December 1790. The old town of Figeac has plenty of interesting architecture, numerous restaurants, cafes and hotels.

Figeac, designated a City of Art and History, lies in the heart of the Célé Valley, on whose banks it is built. Its charming medieval streets and half-timbered houses are part of its appeal. Sights include the Champollion Museum – Writings of the World and the market, held on Saturdays.

In 2004, the Tour de France passed through Saint-Jean-Mirabel during a stage. You will find a huge bicycle on display as a souvenir. There is also a fine statue of Joan of Arc and a 13th century church with a remarkable tympanum.
