Very steep climb (and descent)

Nice route through the protected site of the Nant Valley. Steady climb mainly through the forest and arrival at the famous "hole". The passage is done without a backpack, which you will push in front of you, for the duration of the passage. Claustrophobic ok! Not suitable for dogs I would say. A few dizzying passages just before the arrival, caution and concentration and all is well! Descent and return to Pont de Nant or Les Plans sur Bex, quite steep descent towards the end.

If you are looking for a unique and captivating hike in the Vaudois Alps, you can visit Trou à l'Ours. This rocky site leads you to a narrow chimney in the rock face, where you must ascend or descend using a chain. The passage is not for the faint-hearted, but it offers thrills and a breathtaking view of the Vallon de Nant.

La Varre is a mountain cabin located in the Swiss Alps. Situated at an altitude of around 1,600 metres, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. It is a popular destination for hikers, as it is accessible via a well-marked trail that follows a river and forest. La Varre serves local food and drinks, in a warm atmosphere. It is open from May to October and can accommodate up to 40 people for the night.

Grand Muveran is a majestic mountain that rises above the Nant Valley in the Swiss Alps. Its rocky summit, shaped like a pyramid, pierces the sky with this plan. On the other side of the valley, it resembles a giant sentinel, guarding the border between the cantons of Vaud and Valais. Depending on the season and time of day, the Grand Muveran changes its appearance, reflecting the light and colors of the environment. Sometimes it is covered in snow and ice, shining like a jewel in the sun. Other times it is dark and imposing, casting a long shadow across the landscape. The Grand Muveran is a spectacle not to be missed.
