Shortly after the Chalet d'Arguel, the cycle path becomes rocky, smooth and then rough. We briefly considered turning around, but then continued on. A beautiful plateau! It was worth it, because apart from a racing driver in a municipal vehicle, there was nothing going on here. And the route got better too - fine gravel. I also took some photos that make the route more visible on Trailview.

Ornans is situated on the banks of the River Loue, surrounded by hills and forests. It is situated in a picturesque area and is renowned for its attractive landscape.

The valley is beautiful, the rock walls down to the road and... the Lison flows very quietly, without any fuss like the last few kilometers.

Nans-sous-Sainte-Anne is unique. Beautifully secluded. Lots of opportunities, from climbing, cycling and hiking. And there's even a former Michelin-starred chef in the Chateâu. The cheese dairy is great and also has bread and wine. It's a picture-perfect village.
