The Rhone is majestic.

A road with views of the Jura, Geneva, Mont Blanc, and Salève, right in the heart of the Pays de Gex. I even happened to spot deer at the edge of the woods.

Nice start to the season

"Rich man's shop" type of bike shop. Rude and unfriendly owner. Avoid unless you have at least 5K to spend, otherwise you will be treated literally like starving people.

The Thoiry Sunday market is lively, there is a jovial atmosphere that makes you want to do some shopping. The Petit Cep garden that you can see at the end of the market really invites you to stop there. I'm not sure you can just have a drink there. The menu is not cheap (49€/79€), but it's worth a try!

Very pretty village.

A captivating view of the meadows and the Jura range shared by France and Switzerland. Usually you can see the snow caps (especially during the colder seasons). The Jura is made up of old mountains, older than the Alps and there are many trails for walking and cycling there.

At this place, you can enjoy a panorama of the vineyards (green in summer, giving freshness and brightness to the landscape) and Mont Salève on the French side. The views are especially spectacular during the warmer seasons.
