The castle overlooks the Ain plain. A few benches are available for relaxing while admiring the view. It's possible to walk around the castle by continuing along the path past the entrance. It's accessible with a paid ticket, and opening hours vary depending on the season.

Nice route of beautiful paths in the undergrowth, some singles without difficulties, some viewpoints on the heights of Vaux, Lagnieu. Attention ⚠ small single going up between Vaux en bugey / Bramafan very steep and narrow, the second part of the descent after Bramafan is technical slope and slippery rocks.

Col named after the small village located lower down, magnificent. To be made during a detour to continue on the Col de Portes.

Its geographical location offers a breathtaking view of Savoyard Bresse and Dombes. As a strategic stronghold, it protected the entrance to Savoy, which was an independent state at the time. Indeed the climb above Lac Bleu is very steep unless you have an electric bike which simplifies things

Very nice tour apart from the section after visiting the source where you have to push or carry your bike on very steep and slippery terrain. We would have to find another way to avoid this section. The rest of the course is suitable for all levels.

Lots of trails and shaded paths in the woods. On the other hand, it is preferable not to take at the start, the path above the Abèanches is very steep. It’s best to start at the source of the roach. Nice circuit with very few roads.
