The information board explains the cycle path: This road is one of the 5 roads in the Jura cycle path network. It connects Dole with Lons-le-Saunier, the EuroVelo 6 with the "voie Bressane", through an old railway line that crosses the "plaine du Finage" in the north and the "Bresse jurassienne" in the south. It's really wonderful to cycle on - it's like flying over the landscape or meditating! The old train stations that have been preserved are beautiful.

This castle has passed from family to family since 1444. Since 2018, the castle has been undergoing work and redevelopment by its new owners. You can now find a restaurant and a small exhibition of furniture and paintings on its premises.

Château-Chalon is a Jura village, classified as the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Its fame is also due to its vineyard which produces the most famous yellow wines of the Jura.

The cross is located on the rock of the tooth, and belongs to the commune of Barretaine. It indicates to hikers passing by that a superb view awaits them, since it dominates Poligny and the entire Orain valley.

Self-proclaimed “world capital of the county”, Poligny is a small town of 4,000 inhabitants focused on the production of the famous cheese. There is notably the Maison du Comté, an interpretation center which allows you to discover the secrets of how the county is made.
