The Étang de la Vallée leisure centre is a veritable green setting, ideal for a day outdoors. This centre offers a multitude of activities for all ages: treetop adventure park for children, water activities such as canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, and pedal boats for trips on the pond. The sandy beach, supervised in season, is ideal for swimming, while the Vallée Snack Club offers fast food for those who are hungry. For those who wish to extend their stay, a family campsite is also available.

Beautiful stretch of water to take a break. Leisure center in fine weather, you will find a beach, a picnic area, toilets and a café (open from April to October on weekends and during the week during school holidays).

The Manoir de la Taille, also known as the Château de Bondaroy, is a fortified manor house which dates from the 14th century and was the birthplace of two Renaissance poets, Jean and Jacques de La Taille. You can admire the impressive facade, towers and gatehouse, as well as the surrounding countryside. You can also explore the neighboring town of Pithiviers, which has a rich heritage and a famous pastry, the pithivier.

Rocheplatte Castle was built in the 11th century to guard the valley, then rebuilt in the 18th century with elegant towers and a moat. You can admire the exterior of the castle from the road or take part in a guided tour of the estate organized by the Grand Pithiverais Tourist Office. The castle is surrounded by a park with rare trees and a mysterious Gothic cave. You can also explore the nearby Oeuf and Rimarde rivers, where the Essonne is formed. Rocheplatte Castle is an ideal destination for history and nature lovers.

The Chênetière lock is a lock which is part of the Loire section of the canal. You can enjoy the scenery of the canal and its surroundings, and perhaps see boats passing through the lock.

Recently released section with new asphalt surface. The following section towards Orleans is also finished, but has not been released. In the other direction, an easy-to-use single trail leads along the canal.
