The section of the cycle path along the Meuse in the narrow valley of the Ardennes is beautiful.

The fortified castle of Bouillon is situated on three rocky ridges and offers stunning views of the city. During your visit, you can also take in a falconry performance. Falconry was a true art form during the Middle Ages. You can conclude your visit with the Scriptura Museum, which chronicles the history of education, and the exhibition of the fresco "The Armed Pilgrimage of Godfrey of Bouillon." The castle is open daily.

The beautiful and strikingly modern town hall of the Mezières district. The adjacent forecourt was traffic-calmed a few years ago. There's also a drinking water fountain in the southwest corner of the square.

This section is part of the Trans-Ardennes, a cycle route that is fully signposted in both directions and which links beautiful historical sites in the Netherlands, Belgium and France.

The parish church of Bouillon, dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, is located on Rue des Augustins, in the heart of old Bouillon. Built in 1848 in a neoclassical style, it was built on the site of the Augustins college, according to the plans of the architect Dumont. This magnificent building reflects the history and architecture of the region, offering an impressive testimony to the local heritage.

Meuse Cycle Route: Slow Travel in the French Ardennes In the Meuse Valley, you can cycle along a former towpath along the banks of the river. This beautiful Voie Verte Trans-Ardennes is part of the international Meuse Cycle Route, which crosses the Netherlands, Belgium and France.

The Trans-Ardennes Greenway follows the old towpath along the Meuse. As you leave Lumes, you pass under the railway bridge, then the motorway, before entering quieter lands.
