The world capital of perfume owes its title primarily to its climate. In the hinterland of the Côte d'Azur, summers are long and the weather is pleasant. The sun shines on people and plants 300 days a year, allowing perfume factories to cultivate their raw materials right on their doorstep. Workers pick between 20 and 100 kilograms of blossoms a day – that's an incredible 7,000 to 35,000 roses.

The Perfume Museum in Grasse showcases the history and production of perfumes in a 3,500 square meter space within a historic building. According to its own claims, it is the only collection of its kind in the world.
