Beautiful walk to do with the family, without any elevation changes.

The bike path has good asphalt, without any potholes! The floodplain is between the Loire and the dam. We experienced the Loire as a calm, unobtrusive river. But apparently, it can also be quite different.

The short section, the ramp up to the dam, is definitely from the last century. But from there, you have a beautiful view of the sandy banks of the Loire. Simply indescribable!

Sometimes a bit monotonous, but the bike path is well paved, so you can also enjoy the scenery. I saw figures in the trees along the path.

we are now happy to be able to drive along the Canal du Nivernais. It is more entertaining here than the part we drove along the Loire. Here too, the place names are mounted upside down to protest.
