Lüttmoorsiel station is one of North Friesland's most charming "almost no-stations" – a place where trains arrive as rarely as a dry November day. Here are a few fun facts about this special stop: 1. The smallest station with the greatest history Size: A bench, a sign, and plenty of space – that's all it takes. Significance: It used to be important for the ferry service to Nordstrand, but today it's an insider tip for fans of solitude. 2. Timetable? More of a suggestion! The North German Railway stops here – when it feels like it. Waiting time: Perfect for counting the passing sheep or reading a book about the tides. 3. The scenery: Pure nature All around, nothing but meadows, dikes, and wind – and the occasional lost tourist waiting for the ferry (which has long since departed elsewhere). Bird concerts included – the seagulls comment on every train delay. 4. Fun Fact The name "Lüttmoorsiel" means something like "small pumping station" – and in fact, the station today is more of a "small waiting room." Conclusion: Lüttmoorsiel station is like a break from everyday life – no hustle and bustle, no stress, just the vastness of North Frisia. Anyone who gets off here should be patient... or just keep walking. 👉 Tip: Take your bike with you – then you'll reach your destination faster than the next train! 🚲
