Very nice. The owner charged us €5 to pitch the tent, the shower is €2.

Two years ago everything was free here, now the shower costs 2 euros.

Could bivi there for free. Was even allowed to use the little shelters (with electricity and a matress). But i think usually you might have to pay a bit to stay in these?

Unfortunately it was closed - we looked inside - and we would have liked to eat here. It is closed between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. It is open until 1 p.m. on Saturdays and until 12.30 p.m. on Sundays. If it is closed here you can try it on the canal at "La Halte Nautique" - we went there to eat. It was OK!

There are quite a few of these steel bridges - the company Magnard & Cie. obviously received a large order at the time. The bridges were manufactured in Fourchambault - 7 km from Nevers, directly on the Loire.

Rest stop with bakery at small canal harbor

A great place to camp. A large, beautiful meadow along the canal. It is wonderfully quiet and very beautiful, There are two toilets and a shower in excellent condition and very clean. At the beginning of the meadow there is a small restaurant. The bakery is just around the corner. And on the opposite side of the canal, a bicycle path invites you to ride to Nevers.
