The "Iron Footbridge" over the Glan River was built by the Meisenheim Beautification Association in 1893 as a footbridge between Herrenschlag (Yellow House) and the valley below. It is a steel framework with cast-iron pillars on stone piers. The bridge was restored in 1998. The "sidewalk" runs past here.

Reipoltskirchen Castle is one of the best-preserved moated castles in the Palatinate region, picturesquely perched above the Odenbach River. Originally built in the 12th century, it served as a noble residence for centuries and has been rebuilt several times. Today, the castle houses a restaurant and offers visitors a fascinating insight into medieval architecture combined with modern elements. Particularly impressive is the massive keep, which serves as an observation tower and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Glan Valley and the surrounding forests. In 2015, French artist Irène le Goaster created the sculpture "Graines" (German for "Seeds") from solid oak. Five large, egg- or seed-shaped wooden objects lie in a meadow, as if scattered there by the wind. The work plays with the symbolism of growth, new beginnings, and the power inherent in every seed. In the context of the Sculpture Trail, it reminds us that art, like nature, is constantly evolving and that new things can emerge from small impulses. With their tranquil arrangement, the "seeds" blend harmoniously into the landscape and invite quiet contemplation. ✨ Tip: The sculpture is particularly impressive in the early morning or evening hours, when the light casts long shadows and emphasizes the seed shapes.

Directly at the start of the hike, several large information boards welcome visitors to Reipoltskirchen. They offer a concise overview of the town's most important sights, including the imposing moated castle, the Catholic Church of St. John Nepomuk, and the remains of a Roman villa rustica. They also explain the variety of hiking trails around the town – from the Sculpture Trail and the Veldenz Trail to smaller adventure trails. Particularly exciting is the insight into the "Art in the Green" project and the Sculpture Trail, which combine culture and nature in a unique way.
