very interesting although a tourist hotspot

This old railway line is a boon for hikers. The path is sheltered from the sun for three-quarters of the way. The packed crushed stone ground is pleasant and barely deformed. Very good for mountain biking and gravel.

Nice to ride on, ok surface without mud

This route is simply fantastic to ride. The pictures speak for themselves. The route is well maintained and apart from a few bumps at the archways, the route is great!

Concarneau is a very beautiful town with a great market. There is a circular trail following in the footsteps of Inspector Dupin.

The former barracks in the Ville Close now house the Musée de peche. A visit to the Fishing Museum in the heart of the walled old town of Concarneau is a must. The exhibition, organized chronologically and thematically, naturally includes ships: a ship moored that you can visit, as well as ship models, paintings, maps, posters, drawings, etc. There are also everyday items on board, navigation instruments and sometimes unusual objects such as a wooden tuna club or sardine coins, a special currency used in the Concarneau seafaring world at the end of the 19th century. To make your visit even more enjoyable, you can learn about different fishing techniques and go on board the Hémérica, a real fishing boat moored at the museum.

The Ville close is home to the oldest residential buildings in Concarneau. The narrow streets are home to impressive granite gabled houses, half-timbered houses (Maisons à Pans de Bois), shops with carved lintels and chapels that have been converted into residential buildings.
