This lake is otherwise called the Mabille valley lake. It is an artificial lake. Access to the leisure center is free. The activities offered here are: picnic on the bank, play areas for the youngest, fishing.

This is where you will find the best places to admire the lake. This magnificent view is worth interrupting during your run for a moment of calm.

The Lac de la Vallée Mabille is an ideal place to run. The tracks are impeccable thanks in particular to the GR3 which runs along its banks.

There you will find a fantastic observation tower that will allow you to contemplate the lake.

Lac de la Vallée Mabille, more commonly known as Lac de Savenay, is a beautiful body of water located at the eastern entrance to the town of Savenay. Artificial, the lake hosts many activities on its shores: a swimming pool, a campsite, a leisure park, a golf course and a hotel-restaurant. Very famous among the locals, this little green setting is also a delight for long-distance hikers. Indeed, the iconic GR 3 meanders along its banks.

On the edge of the Loire estuary, the small town of Savenay makes an excellent base camp for exploring the Brière regional natural park (PNR) which it borders. In its village, many shops offer catering and accommodation. Also, a railway station connects daily and several times a day the station of Nantes.
