Independent of any artistic movement, built without any architectural rules, the Palais Idéal was admired by the Surrealists. In 1969, it was classified as a Historic Monument by André Malraux, then Minister of Culture, as a work of naive art.

The Galaure is a tributary of the Rhône river. A ford has been installed to cross it at this point. When the water level is too high, it is always possible to cross using the raised metal bridge.

Discovered a little by chance, I did not expect to miss it. These are the remains of a 15th century Franciscan convent, a little outside the village of Châteauneuf-de-Galaure in the Drôme des Collines.

On the heights of Charmes-sur-l'Herbasse, this castle is also nice to visit. It gives a beautiful view of Lake Champos and the surrounding hills. Also accessible on foot or by car via a small winding road.

Lake Champos is an ideal place during the summer season for swimming. Here you will find supervised swimming, something to have a drink at the water's edge and water activities such as pedal boats, paddles and slides. Very popular with the inhabitants of the region, the attendance can be important during the weekends of July-August.
