Breathtaking view of the Véroncle gorges in the heart of the Luberon Regional Natural Park. You can see several old flour mills along the gorge - evidence of an exceptional industrial heritage.

From the Route de la Combe, the view of Gordes is truly breathtaking. This hilltop village, one of the most beautiful in France, is revealed with its dry stone houses that seem to hang on the hillside. In the background, the rolling landscapes of the Luberon add a touch of magic to this panorama. The road winds through Mediterranean vegetation, between olive trees and holm oaks, offering a new perspective on Gordes at every moment.

The Jean de Marre mill was strategically located near a waterfall, where there is a tufa formation, a natural curiosity. The tufa, composed of dissolved and redeposited limestone, traps plant and animal debris, forming a soft and crumbly rock. When the watercourse is not dry, this environment is home to lush vegetation of mosses and ferns, which thrive in the saturated humidity of the site. This habitat is rare and localized in Provence.
