The White Rocks The plateau where this vein of white quartz is located is also the highest point of the town with an altitude of 637m, offering a magnificent panoramic view. Quartz, feldspar and mica are the main minerals that make up micaschists and gneisses, the dominant metamorphic rocks in the Maures massif.
