This beautiful tree can be found close to the hiking trail from the Gîte de Belouve to the Trou de fer.

You need good fitness for this climb. If you want to continue hiking from the gîte for another 1.5 hours to the Trou de fer, you should start early. I can only advise against the descent back to Hell Bourg in the dark.
