Lost Place: The "Fixe Idea" is the now almost overgrown ruin of a former forestry from the 1960s on the western edge of the Fahnerhöhe. "Fixed idea" because a long-dead LPG chairman once had the (fixed) idea of building a hotel in the middle of the countryside.

At this point you have a wonderful view of Gotha and Friedenstein Castle. On a clear day a great panorama. In addition, you can capture the Kranberg and the Inselsberg.

A post mill built in 1834, which can be visited every year on Mill Day. Furthermore, this place is a nice place for a little rest.

The mill on the box. The post mill in Ballstädt in the Fahnerhöhe orchard is a protected cultural monument of the Gotha district and is fully functional. Note: Open annually on the German Mill Day and the Day of the Open Monument.
