I tried to get up with my bike. push biken a lot, but without knowing what the terrain would be I ended walking up the last 800m aprox. Maybe I could have made it with bike to the top, but hell it was certainly the most crazy things have done. Great, technical rock downhill.

At 2,426 meters, the Méale is a summit of the Parpaillon massif which offers beautiful views of the Serre-Ponçon lake in particular. We can see the reservoir extending along its entire length.

Morgonnet is a peak that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding French Alps and the valley below. From the summit, you can enjoy a varied landscape, ranging from lush alpine meadows to rugged rocky outcrops.

The 6 km approach by car does not pass for all vehicles, which is also a great “filter” in the middle of the summer season where we only encountered 2 people on the Ubaye side (and 2 on the Les Orres side). The view at the top of the Peak is incredible. On the other hand, the descent is endless. VisoRando classifies it as difficult.

Very nice walk in the shade in an airy forest for the first part and a second part on a beautiful path. Summit with a beautiful view of the lake.

A demanding hike with dangerous passages (approx. 200m), but definitely recommended. The 360° panoramic view of Lac de Serre Poncon. The marmots can also be seen.
