The climb is very demanding, you have to pay attention to the asphalt which is not in good condition on both sides. The view of the lake is magnificent.

From Mont Colombis you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view. Kilometers 4 to 1 before the summit are pretty tough at around 13%. We hiked the last 4 kilometers.

arch bridge built over Lake Serre-Ponçon in Hautes-Alpes, France. It connects the shores of the lake and offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Its construction was completed in 1961, and it has become an iconic symbol of the region, both for its functionality and its architectural beauty.

Near the Serre-Ponçon dam, you can enjoy this picturesque and dizzying road with almost no traffic to overlook the Blanche River. Be careful on the road though, it is not uncommon for small landslides to occur and stones to be found in the middle of it.

Mount Colombis (1733 m) is one of the least known monsters of the Alps. Very tough climbs like Mont Ventoux, Grand Colombier or Mont du Chat have a much greater reputation in the cycling world. But it's not just because of that... to put it bluntly, it's because it's so scary!
