Église Saint-Paul (St. Paul's Church) in Strasbourg The Église Saint-Paul, or St. Paul's Church, is a Protestant church in the neo-Gothic style. It is located in the picturesque Neustadt (German Quarter) directly on the Ill River. Its prominent location invites photography. The most beautiful photos are taken especially in spring, when nature is in full bloom. It's worth taking a look inside. Some of the original church windows have been preserved. The large rose window with a diameter of 8 meters is also impressive. The Protestant garrison church was built between 1892 and 1897. The architect was Louis Muller. The façade is lined with two 76-meter-high towers. The style and color scheme are inspired by St. Elizabeth's Church in Marburg. St. Paul's Church has a seating capacity of 2,000 people. From the Pont Royal you have one of the most beautiful views of this truly extraordinary church, which certainly has intentional and not unjustified similarities to the cathedral. In my opinion, the two complete pointed towers make it look even more perfect than the cathedral. The Paulskirche was built after the German annexation between 1892 and 1897 according to the plans of the architect Louis Müller. It has two 76-meter-high twin towers and a large rose window with a diameter of eight meters. It is located at the tip of the Ill island of Sainte-Hélène on one of the most beautiful spots in the new town and, together with the Ill and the river bank, forms a remarkable sight.
