Just outside Birndorf, the cemetery and its modern, bright chapel are located on a small hill. The view down into the Rhine Valley and the Swiss Jura is wonderful, and there are shady benches and two amusing sculptures.

From the large parking lot toward the Chly Rhy Auen nature reserve, the path is a good, stable dirt road, making it easy to ride, so encounters aren't a problem. It's only from the parking lot toward Koblenz that it narrows and becomes more challenging for bikers. A beautiful route that's fun in any season.

Today I cycled from Rekingen for the first time, and I like this direction even better. I have the feeling the stream erosion has increased compared to my last trip. Caution is advised in some places. But it's always a pleasure!
