Located in the heart of the village of Chailly-en-Brie, the Saint-Médard church is a true treasure of local heritage. Built between the 12th and 15th centuries, the Commanderie des Templiers constitutes the best preserved Templar ensemble north of the Loire. The Templar and then Hospitaller Commandery experienced eight centuries of incessant human occupation. The current buildings, remodeled over the centuries, are arranged around a large rectangular courtyard where the tithe barn, the dovecote, the commander's dwelling and the Sainte Anne chapel, decorated with 13th century murals, are located. Listed in the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments in 1932 and classified as a Historic Monument in 1994 due to its rarity, it is today the subject of much attention. There is also a medieval garden designed in 1993 in collaboration with the Yves Rocher Foundation. This 4000m² space is organized around four themed squares including vegetable garden, bouquet flowers, medicinal and technical plants.

In the 12th century Mauperthuis was an isolated farm in the parish of Saints. Its independence dates from 1195. A chapel was built. In 1170 the church with a single nave replaced the chapel and was built by Anne Pierre de Montesquiou, the king's musketeer. During the revolution, the priest being against the ban on worship, he fomented a riot. the national guard of Coulommiers disperses the inhabitants roughly. 17 villagers die, and 163 are taken prisoner, of whom 20 will be tried, charged and sentenced to death. The fountain made of sandstone and Meulière was part of a set of several constructions built by the Marquis de Montesquiou. It is the work of the architect Brogniard (the same one who designed the Palais de la Bourse in Paris.) Completed in 1764, this fountain is fed by a spring coming from l'Oursine (hamlet north of Mauperthuis.) Grace an ingenious system provides the water trough located at the same level as the fountain. Horses passing on the nearby road between Rosay and Coulommiers could rest and drink.

Created in 1612, this historic park in Coulommiers is one of the most beautiful in Île-de-France. Beautifully flowered, it offers a pleasant place to walk in all seasons.
