The Yonne is one of the great rivers of northern France and one of the main tributaries of the Seine. Here we are slightly downstream from the ornithological reserve, where it is good to stop to observe the ball of migratory birds.

The chateau was built in 1760. Outside the perimeter you will see a rather impressive gate which still bears the coat of arms of the original owner and builder, Noël Jacques Michel de Brion.

Barbey Castle was built in the 17th century. It is now a private property but historically belonged to the French botanist Chevalier Louis-Marie Aubert du Petit-Thouars.

Body of water well maintained by the town of Vinneuf, which has become a place of relaxation offering various activities: fishing, fitness trail, sailing, walks and a picnic area. It was also the place of the traditional midday ravito during the Pantin - Joigny when this cycling tour existed.
