Beautiful tour through the Soest Börde region

The real highlight is probably the small, secluded path through the woods along the Lippe River. You don't often get this close to this beautiful river!

There are many water buffalo to see here. There's also a wonderful wooden hut from which you can look out over the marshland and the buffalo.

Beautiful long avenue

In my opinion, this section is definitely NOT a highlight. While the path does lead through a forest, the condition of the trail is anything but "great." First bumpy, then badly damaged. If you want to avoid the road and are riding a mountain bike or a bike with comfortable suspension, this section might be okay. Definitely not recommended for trekking bikes without suspension.

Soest's city wall is one of the most impressive preserved fortifications in Westphalia. Since 1180, it has served as a defensive ring around the old town. Today, the nearly 2.6-kilometer-long path along the old walls invites you to take a stroll steeped in history. Mighty trees line the path, while glimpses of half-timbered houses, gardens, and church towers are frequent.
