Vulliafans with around 700 inhabitants in the Doubs department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region - a magical place with the Pont Vieux - this bridge with its 3 arches was built in the 17th century. Further into the town center there are numerous town and farm houses that were built in the characteristic style of Franche-Comté in the 16th to 18th centuries. One of the oldest houses is the former manor house La Forteresse from the 14th/15th century. The really beautiful thing is the authentic flair.

The Église de l’Assomption de Vuillafans is a historic church building in Vuillafans, located in the Doubs department, France. Construction of the church began in 1429 and lasted until its consecration in 1522. It has a striking architecture with a clocher-porche and ogival vaults. The furnishings include a beautiful retable from 1702, a pulpit from 1704 and paintings from around 1515. The church has been registered as a historical monument since 1939.

The Grand Pont d’Ornans is a historic bridge over the River Loue in Ornans. The Grand Pont is located in the city centre and serves as the main crossing between the right bank and the left bank of the Loue. This bridge was built in the 17th century and has been an essential part of the Venetian cityscape ever since. The Grand Pont is 36 metres long and 8 metres wide. It consists of three basket-shaped arches, which together form a slight slope. The bridge piers have semi-circular projections. From the Grand Pont, you can enjoy a magnificent view* of the river and the surrounding houses, giving you a good idea of the centre of Ornans.

The Hôtel de Ville d’Ornans has been located since 1825 in part of a large building that was once the old courthouse of the bailiwick of Ornans in 1422. The former bailiwick was rebuilt in 1740. This imposing building spans the sidewalk with double arches overlooking the Rue Pierre Vernier. If you visit Ornans, this historic building is definitely worth a look! 🏛️🇫🇷

The Hôtel de Sagey d’Arros is a historic mansion located in Ornans. This mansion dates from the 18th century and has an impressive façade. It has been listed as a historical monument since 5 September 1979. The façade and the roof, as well as the outside staircase in the courtyard, are all protected. The construction of this mansion took place in the second half of the 18th century. It is remarkable that it does not appear on the town plan of Ornans from 1753. Inside, there is an old kitchen with a chimney on which the date 1774 is engraved.
