The Charentonne is a Norman river which flows into the Risle. In the town of Broglie, two bridges overlook it, offering pretty picturesque views.

The abbey church of Bernay, whose construction in the 11th century, marked the history of the region since it served as the basis for future major works of Norman architecture. It is a Romanesque building attached to the Benedictine order.

Located high up, the Boulevard des Monts offers several beautiful views of Bernay, City and Country of Art and History since 2012.

Today overtaken by the surrounding towns, such as Brionne, Bernay and Évreux, Fontaine-la-Soret has nevertheless marked the history of the natural region of Lieuvin. The castle and its park, the manor, the Saint-Martin church and the Saint-Éloi chapel bear witness to its past.

Between Brionne and Serquigny, the Risle is divided into numerous arms which sublimate the half-wooded, half-open setting in which the river flows.

This menhir, listed as a historical monument, surprises with its location in the middle of a field. It is made of a block of sandstone about 2.2 meters high.

The ruins of an 11th century keep are still visible in Brionne. Its commercial activities are geared towards livestock farming and the management of the many surrounding forests. You will not see cultivated fields in the commune, but rather beautiful rivers, meadows and woods.
