If you like crowds, traffic noise and bad air, this is a wonderful location.

Located over the Saône River between Verjux and Gergy, the bridge was inaugurated in 1890. This elegant stone structure was financed by Marguerite Boucicaut. Destroyed in 1944, it was rebuilt in 1957 with a metal deck while retaining its original decorative bollards.

There is no other historical hospital that possesses so many original artifacts.

The historic hospital is a must-see

The Hôtel-Dieu is a former hospital in Beaune. It was founded in 1443 and used as a hospital until 1971. The Hôtel-Dieu is now part of the Hospices Civils de Beaune complex. Today, parts of the old complex are used as a retirement home, while the rest can be visited as a museum, providing interesting insights into nursing in the early modern period.

Beautiful ceiling construction. Please look up in most rooms – in others, because of the paintings.
