Entry point to the Haager Lies cycle path towards Haag am Hausruck

South of Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting lies St. George's Church in Kößlwang. Romanesque, late Gothic and Baroque elements are combined here. The small church was probably built in the 12th century and underwent changes in every style period. Particularly worthy of mention is a late Gothic sculpture of St. George with a dragon from the middle of the 15th century.

Lambach Abbey is a Benedictine monastery (OSB) located on the Traun River in Lambach, Upper Austria. It was founded in the 11th century by Adalbero of Würzburg and belongs to the Austrian Benedictine Congregation. The abbey is home to 12 monks, including 7 priest-monks, one deacon, three monks, and one novice.

This is a beautiful church in the municipality of Fischlham in Upper Austria. The church is dedicated to Saint Peter and belongs to the Kremsmünster Abbey. The church has a Gothic architecture with baroque elements, such as the onion dome of the tower or the pulpit as St. Peter's ship.

Without the "Tree in a Cage Observation Tower" the square would not really attract attention - directly at the current train stop it is hardly recognizable that the start/end of the Hague Lies route is here. Only a little further along the path do you notice the old railway masts with the signs pointing to the old railway system.

The origins of the St. George Church in Kößlwang go back to the High Middle Ages. It probably dates from the 12th century. It has undergone many changes over the centuries. Romanesque, late Gothic and Baroque elements are combined in it. It has retained its original character. Nothing is polished to a high shine. A church with character. An insider tip!
