A stunning view of the Rhine plain and the Kaiserstuhl hills, well worth seeing. The tower can be easily climbed via a spiral staircase; the ascent is very narrow via a stone staircase inside the tower.

Hohlandsbourg Castle is located at an altitude of 620 meters and offers an exceptional 360° view over the Black Forest, the Alsace plain and the Vosges massif. Built on the initiative of the Habsburgs (13th-17th centuries), it is a fine example of military architecture in Alsace until the Thirty Years' War, which saw its demise. The high granite walls surround a large completion dominated by the fortified castle to the north. During a fun and interactive tour you can see and understand the history of the castle, from its original Bronze Age location to the present day. Opening period: from 1st day in April to 2nd day in November.
