Magnificent village where I was warmly welcomed by Ricou at the hotel restaurant bar on the square. Despite the late hour I was treated to a great meal tray in my room and the next morning the conversation around a very good French breakfast. Great memorable moment 🤗

An ancient commune in the Aubrac region of Lozere, it's a picturesque village to grab a coffee and cake in one of its cafés before heading back up into the hills.

The castle of Galinières is an architectural curiosity with the mixture of three genres: military, religious and civil. It is an old barn of the abbey of Bonneval.

The building was built in the 19th century, after the clergy had all the old churches in the village destroyed for fear of a second revolution.

This town has the particularity of having on its land many megaliths from the Neolithic era, mainly dolmens. Chanac also has a magnificent keep which dates from the 13th century. A red and gold Occitan flag flies at its top. You can't miss it! Inquire at the town hall of the village for more details.

This small road in front of you climbs to the hamlet of Monjézieu, where you can already see its magnificent castle. This bastion seems impregnable seen from the Lot.
