Chateau de Lassay is a 15th century castle whose predecessor was built in the 12th century and its end was due to the fact that the lord of the castle was a supporter of England and the castle was sacked by the French during the Hundred Years War.

It is not an exceptional spot because on a shared road but the walk in the forest, the discovery of the chapel of Lignou, the castle of Couternes and the town of Bagnoles-de-l'Orne are more than enough to have a good time.

Beautiful spa town with interesting architecture in the middle of the Normandy Natural Park. A pleasant option for an overnight stay if you are traveling as a bike packer!

The spa town of Bagnoles de l'orne, in the middle of the Normandy Nature Park, is a real eye-catcher. If you come by bike via one of the numerous forest paths to the lively town, you can hardly believe your eyes. The center is a bit touristy, but there is a lot to see off the beaten track.
