The castle complex is located on a spur on the Daubenschlag rock (French: Rocher du Daubenschlag). All that is visible here are the foundations of a large castle. Behind the clearly visible moat there is a strong shield wall, against which a large square keep (base area 11 × 11 meters) leans in the middle. In the middle of the castle complex there are still remains of a palace.

Very beautiful panorama with a view of the Château des Rohan. On the equipped bank there is space to have a drink with friends under pretty pergolas, there is also a pretty classy restaurant boat. For those who come by car, the large car park at the fair not far away allows you to continue on foot into the town center.

Located along the Marne-Rhine Canal, the small town of Saverne borders Alsace and Lorraine. From here, you can easily reach Strasbourg via the riverside cycle paths. Don't miss the Rohan Castle, the "Little Versailles of Alsace," with its imposing pink sandstone walls. Today, it houses a youth hostel, among other things.
