A good place to rest right next to the bike path in the shade under a linden tree. The square is called "Place of Encounter" because the border fence ran along this site during the division of Germany. A linden tree was planted here in remembrance on November 18, 1990.

There is another special urban gem right on the Werra. Here lies the former fishermen's settlement known as Fischerstad. It was built right in front of the city wall, which is why a very narrow alley runs along the wall. The old Herrenmühle mill at the end of the alley and a lock built across the river give the whole area additional visual appeal.
