As you travel along the PLM Route, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Vallière Valley. Once a historic railway line, this scenic route now offers a tranquil escape through rolling hills, lush forests and charming villages. From the elevated vantage point, you can admire the meandering river, picturesque vineyards and distant mountains.

Nice railway line cycle path, here with good asphalt. But here too, unfortunately, with permitted local traffic, although I didn't see anything to the right or left where local residents wanted to go.

Lake Chalain is a glacial lake (10th largest natural lake in France), where a lakeside city dating from the Neolithic period, classified as a world heritage site, was discovered.*The view from the Fontenu belvedere will reveal its turquoise waters. !

Located at the gates of the Haut-Jura regional natural park, Champagnole is also considered the “pearl of the Jura”.
