Magnificent region. I recommend the guest rooms at the Château de Rosans.

Every year there is a "Fête des vautours", 2024 at the beginning of June. Various events are offered in Rémuzat and Villeperdrix.

A wonderful vantage point, a lovely little picturesque town. Then, a rewarding climb along a narrow, mostly single-lane road to the Col de la Pertie, with views of Saint-May, and vultures being fed on the plateau opposite in the distance. Vultures nest in the beautiful rocky gorge you cycle through; a pair of binoculars is a good idea. Caution cyclists: In some places, it's best to hop off your bike! There's usually not much traffic, but some drivers will speed through even at a shaky 20 cm distance! I hardly recommend driving on this narrow road.

The Rock of Cairo is a cliff overlooking Rémuzat. Facing due east, the morning sun quickly warms the air. It is this phenomenon which allowed the reintroduction of vultures into this area. From the rock you can observe vultures including the Egyptian vulture, although it is becoming rarer. A place not to be missed in the region!

Villeperdrix is a small village in the Baronnies nestled at the bottom of the slopes of the imposing Angèle mountain, one of the highest peaks in the Baronnies. In the village you will find a farm inn and a shop selling regional products.

This small village in the Baronnies offers many possibilities to its visitors. Departure from hiking, vulture observation, caving, kayaking, mountain biking... The region of Rémuzat is full of activities to do. At the bend of a small street you discover wash houses, sculpted doors, vaulted porches, the church or even the 9th century Saint Michel Chapel.

The medieval village of Rosans reveals beautiful ocher-colored stones and old Roman tile roofs. Entrance into the village is under an arched door. You discover its impressive square tower. Built in the 13th century in stones cut into diamond points, it is still in perfect state of conservation.

This beautiful 16th century building has two towers. It has been the subject of restoration for 30 years and has been included on the list of historic monuments since 1926. It is known to have belonged to Philis de La Charce, a local heroine of the 17th century.
