겉으로도 내부적으로도 소박해 보이고 겸손해 보이는 개신교 교회입니다. 바로크 파사드가 있는 오르간은 더욱 시선을 사로잡습니다. 악기는 1896년에 새로운 것으로 교체되었습니다. 그러나 파사드는 1752년의 Schlottmann 오르간에서 유래했습니다. Johannes Schlottmann(1726-1795)은 한때 이곳 Friedewald에서 오르간 제작 공방을 운영했습니다. 그는 음악사에서 거의 비극적인 인물입니다. 경쟁자들의 질투, 그리고 확실히 경제적 수완 부족은 그를 반복적으로 어려움에 빠뜨렸고, 파산과 투옥을 포함했습니다. 그의 Friedewald 공방은 경매에 부쳐졌고 그는 떠돌이 오르간 제작자로 일했습니다. 그가 남긴 오르간들은 그럼에도 불구하고 주목할 만한 품질을 가지고 있습니다.

The Protestant church at Dreienberg in Friedewald was rebuilt in 1746 as a church tower church with a baroque bell tower, and remodeled in 1958.

When the small observatory was built in 1971 and 1972 on the hill not far from the then-quietly used A4 motorway, the outskirts of the village were considerably farther away than they are today. Hardly any artificial light source obscured the stargazers' view of the night sky here, just outside the village gates. "Back then, this location was ideal," emphasizes Arnulf von der Stein after unlocking the massive outer door. Now 83, he witnessed the development of this rather functional, purpose-built building, whose appearance, thanks to its distinctive dome, nevertheless resembles a miniature cathedral, from its beginnings to its demise.

The exact date of the first church built on this site is unknown, as the records did not survive the Thirty Years' War. In the 17th century, the existing church was evidently destroyed and rebuilt several times. The current chancel tower church was built in 1746 according to plans by the Kassel state architect Giovanni Ghezzi, with the parish and their pastor, Konrad Hermann Meurer, carrying out the majority of the construction work themselves.
