Chantilly is not only known for its "top-notch" horse racing, but also for its royal imperial châteaux, its racecourse, and its reputation as the capital of horses! 40.2 km long, the river has its source in Nanteuil-le-Haudouin (Oise), and flows from east to west. It waters the town of Senlis, as well as the park of the Château de Chantilly where it is channeled, and flows into the Oise at Gouvieux, on the edge of Villers-sous-Saint-Leu, at an altitude of 30 m.
